Following the release of the SK Pro 73 in 2001, Hammond finally drop the doubled-up SKX Pro. Equipped with two 61-note keyboards, drawbars for the lower keyboard, countless options and a handful of novel features, this monster-size stage keyboard is ready for anything.
Features of the Hammond SKX PRO
Besides a range of premium organ sounds, the SKX Pro harbours the soul of a Yamaha CF grand piano as well as various electric pianos, the Clavinet, string-and-wind instruments, a choir and more. Combined with the two waterfall-style keyboards, this ultra-complete selection of sounds offers keys players in bands an easy way to play piano and organ sounds at the same time, providing ample performance-based flexibility without the need for mid-gig setting changes. Hammond have even built in a synthesizer so you can shape prog-leads or create basses for the optional pedal unit (not included), as well as a master EQ preset that can be used to give the signature Hammond-sound its own spot in the band's mix, an overdrive effect with a dedicated control knob and, of course, room for custom samples and an improved on-board Leslie cab simulator. Needles to say, if you're lucky enough to own one, you're also free to hook up a real Leslie rotary speaker.

The USB-MIDI support offered by the Hammond SKX Pro makes sure the keyboard can be effortlessly integrated into your studio where you're immediately set up with the best you can get. The sample quality, especially when it comes to the organ sounds, is top-shelf and serves to uphold the legendary Hammond name, while the control lay-out is clean and intuitive and the list of tweakable options is near-endless. Granted, the SKX Pro costs a pretty penny, but what you get in return is beyond compare in terms of convincing playability.

In een woord "GEWELDIG". Ik had een Hammond XB1, maar die is niet te vergelijken met deze SKX Pro.
Het geluid is super en de leslie klinkt geweldig.
Fantastisch instrument! De echte Hammond sound zoals het hoort, ook met de ingebouwde Leslie sim(s). Met 2 klavieren speel je zonder beperkingen en je kan makkelijk schakelen tussen organ/piano/ensemble en de virtual analog mono synth. Enig minpuntje tot hiertoe is de akoestische piano - die klinkt vrij stevig. Moet nog even uitzoeken hoe je die wat softer kan maken. Electrical piano's zorgen voor creativiteit. Met dit instrument kan je alle stijlen aan en ga je lekker opvallen in een band!

La partie orgue est excellente, rien à redire. Le top serait qu'à chaque changement de preset on ait les tiretteS qui bougent physiquement, seules, pour correspondre au son appelé et entendu. Pour la partie autres sons (piano, synthé etc. ) c'est très bien, certains sons datent un tout petit peu mais c'est ok. On apprécie la possibilité de sorties audio différentes pour que la Leslie soit réservée à l'orgue et n'affecte pas les autres sons. Le Look, l'édition, le poids, sorties etc. : Tout cela est très bien pensé, c'est vraiment une réussite.
